USAR Medical Team Specialist
Guardian Centers is pleased to host the US&R Medical Team Specialist Course. This course provides training on medical care to patients and team members in austere environments during a disaster.
The National Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) Response System, newly developed Medical Team Specialist (MTS) Course course will provide Emergency Responders with the same training received by FEMA USAR Medical Specialists and Medical Team Managers (Physicians). The course cadre includes credentialed federal instructors (medics, physician medical director, and veterinarian) providing a 4:1 student/instructor ratio. This course meets the initial training requirements for Urban Search and Rescue Team Medical Specialists and Medical Team Managers. The new blended learning MTS Course is 59.0 hours in length; 13.0 hours of Computer-Based Training (CBT), and 46.0 hours of Instructor Led Training (ILT).
